Today’s snowstorm has already been dubbed snowmagedon (I’m pretty sure this happens every year) since we’re set to receive quite a bit more through the coming days the title does git pretty well. Just this morning there was barely an ounce of snowfall visible. A mere few hours later and the entire region has been blanketed by a sheet of snow. What’s been making conditions worse isn’t the ice, it’s actually the sporadic wind gusts. Out of nowhere winds have been ratcheting up in strength causing visibility to drop below a mere 300-feet. Obviously we all need to slow down, a message many drivers seemed to have missed today as the highways have been shut-down multiple times due to crashes.

Mankind has advanced quite a bit in just the last couple centuries. Far more than any previous point in our history. One of the reasons for this rapid advancement are thanks to the breakthroughs by people like Thomas Edison. It was on this day in 1878 that Thomas Edison really perfected the idea of recording sound. Edison recorded a presentation at the Museum of Innovation and Science on nothing more than tin-foil. Since that time no one had really heard the actual recording until it was essentially brought back to life thanks to current technology. The recording can be heard here in all its faded glory.
3 Ways To Shine Up Your Tees
People are, and always have been, drawn to shiny things. For whatever reason we can’t take our eyes off them. Just look at jewelry. Why is it that small pieces of metal and some colored rocks sell at such high prices? It’s because we love shiny things! I may not know where this infatuation began but I can recommend a few ways to improve your t-shirts with shine of their own.
Lets say you print a t-shirt with your logo on the front. Sure it will help give your business a professional presentation, but if you really want that logo to “pop” then I recommend adding foil to your order. That simply means once the ink is printed on the shirts a layer of foil is pressed onto the shirts and adheres to the fresh ink.
Everybody loves glitter, right? If not then perhaps you should skip this one. Glitter can be a very fine line between great and awful. If you overload the shirt with glitter you can end up with a mess of a product, plus too much glitter can sometimes spread everywhere and that becomes a mess to remove. We recommend adding a little glitter to one of the ink colors in your design to make it stand out more. If your logo requires a red backdrop then add a little sparkle to it. It can go a long way in making the image stand out.
3. Metallic Ink
Your final option is to just use a special ink made to have a “shine” of its own. As with the other two options it’s not recommended that you use a lot of this ink. Too much can push the glimmer effect too far.

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that this nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
